Welcome

National Versatility Ranch Horse Association Affiliate dates:

Thanks for visiting Rich Horses. We love to ride and train young horses with the intentions of being able to sell them well trained, with no surprises. Our family believes that keeping people from getting hurt on a horse will keep people loving them. Our goal is to make your experience with horses a loving and enjoyable one, whether it be with your horse or our's.
Rich's experience comes from the thoughtfulness of a family friend loaning him a shetland pony at the age of 8, which started an accelerating relationship with horses. The love for horses transitioned into showing Arabian horses from the age of 12 through 19 and learning to team rope at the age of 14, which lead to a collegiate level of competition.
Rich met his wife, Chris, while showing Arabians and since have become wrapped around the horse world together along with their two kids. The main focus of the Rich Horses program is continued education, not only for themselves but for others wanting to improve their skills and relationships with horses. They are actively involved in supporting the National Versatility Ranch Horse Association (NVRHA) and are planning on serving as management for shows here in Missouri to help this great orginization expand into the Mid-West.

Rich is also a member of ELPO and a Certified Natural Balance Barefoot Trimmer by Gene Ovineck. Rich has attended a shoeing class taught at the ELPO by Patty Stiller and is ready to try for his Level 3 certification in the spring.

We are honered to own a son of Sixes Pick. Sixes Pick is a stallion owned by the famous 6666 Ranch in Texas. Ridin by Chance O’Neal, Sixes Pick has won many awards with the latest being the 2008 AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse Fort Dodge Championship in Denver, Colorado.

Pictured at left and also on the Stallion page is "Seis" who is a 2004 son of Sixes Pick. He is very sweet and awesome to be around. We plan to show him this summer in ranch horse shows and attempt some reining competitions.
